Box 391 <br />Redwood City, California 94064 <br /> <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING, INC. <br /> <br />RE: Contract Planning and Environmental Services for Redwood Shores Area H (The Preserve) <br /> <br />Dear Tom, <br /> <br />On behalf of MHA Environmental Consulting, Inc., I am pleased to submit this proposal to provide <br />contract planning and environmental services for the City of Redwood City. The intent of the <br />proposed service is to assist the City in the general management, peer review, and coordination <br />of the anticipated General Plan Amendment, Rezoning, Precise Plan, and Environmental Impact <br />Report (EIR) for Area H. All work would be subject to the direction of the Planning Manager or <br />designee. <br /> <br />Planning Services and Schedule <br /> <br />Anticipated contract services include the following: <br /> <br />Task 1. Meetings with Staff, Applicant, and the Public <br /> <br />MHA will conduct regular meetings with staff to understand the project and City codes and <br />procedures, and to coordinate project review (a maximum of six meetings are budgeted). <br />Meetings and other communications are also anticipated with the applicant and the <br />applicant's representatives (a maximum of four meetings are budgeted). Meetings and <br />communications with other interested parties, including adjacent property owners, <br />businesses, and neighborhood groups are also included (a maximum of four meetings are <br />budgeted). <br /> <br />Task 2. Review of Background Information and Site Visits <br /> <br />MHA will review background project information, including the application, plans, and any <br />support documents prepared by the applicant's team. The City's General Plan, Zoning <br />Ordinance, and other related planning and regulatory documents will be evaluated. A <br />maximum of two visits to the site are expected. <br /> <br />Task 3. Coordination of Overall Project Review <br /> <br />MHA will coordinate the processing of the permit entitlement requests through the planning <br />process, including meetings outlined in Task 1, as well as: <br /> <br />· Distribution of project information to the City's Plan Review Committee (PRC) and <br />coordination of staff comments <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Identification of key project issues and working with appropriate staff and/or the <br />applicant to address project issues <br /> <br />Coordination with consultants retained by the City to support project review, such as <br />traffic and geotechnical consultants <br /> <br />Preparation of memoranda to document key issues and discussions <br /> <br />Development of the required General Plan Amendment and rezoning <br /> <br />Preparation of conditions of approval <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4 West Fourth Avenue, Suite 303 San Mateo, California 94402 TEL 650-373-1200 FAX 650-373-1211 E-MAIL mail@mha-inc.com www.mha-inc.com <br />
