(considered preliminary) will be provided to the City or City's master plan consultant for review on a
weekly basis within 3 days after interrogation (at the City's discretion, the data submittals may be
reduced to a biweekly basis after the first 2 weeks if the initial data appears to be good). The final
data will be compiled following removal of the flow meters and rain gauges. In the event that more
than one flow meter fails to provide usable data during a significant storm event (> 0.5 inches of
rainfall in 24 hours), V&A will extend the monitoring period for up to 2 weeks at no additional cost to
the City.

3. Deliverables: V&A will submit a Flow Monitoring Report (3 copies) containing site details and pictures;
field installation and maintenance sheets including calibration data; depth-velocity scatter plots; 7-day
plots of flow for each meter and rainfall for each rain gauge; and summary tabulation of daily average,
minimum, and peak flow for each flow meter. Electronic files will be submitted in Excel format
containing depth, velocity, and flow rates for each meter and rainfall for each rain gauge in 15-minute
intervals. Final report and data shall be delivered within 3 weeks of completion of flow monitoring.

We propose to complete this work on a time and materials basis as follows:

12 Flow Meters and 1 Rain Gauge for 60 days:
Weekly extension(s) to monitoring period (optional):

$50,000
$5,000 per week

Terms are Net 30 days and this price is valid for 90 days from the date of this proposal. The scope of work
was developed as a result of our discussion and represents our mutual understanding. Estimated costs for
the above project scope are itemized in the attached Resource Allocation Estimate. These costs represent
our best estimates at this time and may change subject to future developments during the project. It is
possible that some of the estimated manpower requirements for specific task items may increase while
others may not require the entire anticipated effort. This provides us a greater degree of confidence in the
overall project estimate, rather than in any given particular task.

If unforeseen circumstances should arise which indicate that more time is required, we would provide a
written estimate of additional required time and cost. We will not proceed with work beyond the not to
exceed figure without a written authorization from your office. We are prepared to begin work on your
project upon receiving written approval, a Notice to Proceed, or purchase order from your office.

On behalf of our staff and myself I would like to thank you for the opportunity to be of service to you and the
City of Redwood City. We look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,
V&A CONSULTING ENGINEERS
Civil Infrastructure Preservation

!~ I~c- ~:f,_..

Kevin KrajeWSki,; r
Manager of sani\1~ervices

Accepted:

Date:

Grace Le, City of Redwood City
