EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br /> AMBER Technologies & Consulting <br /> <br /> Redwood Shores <br /> Residential Taxi Shuffle <br /> Pilot Program Proposal <br /> <br /> AMBER Technologies & Consulting proposes to design and deploy the following <br />residential taxi shuffle pilot program for the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />WORK OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />AMBER Technologies & Consulting proposes to design and deploy an on-demand taxi shuffle <br />program that will link the residential areas of Redwood Shores east of highway 101 to the Caltrain <br />commuter rail system to the west of highway 101. <br /> <br />This new and innovative transit shuttle service will help and encourage Redwood Shores' residents <br />to use the Caltrain system by making it easier to commute to and ~om their homes and the stations. <br />This program will also go a long wayto improving the community's air quality by eliminating <br />"cold starts" from resident vehicles that are currently being used to drive to work or the train <br />station. Thi.~ program will also reduce lxaffic congestion at the Redwood Shores Parkway and <br />Holly Street overpasses by getting residents to double and hopefully triple up in taxis and using <br />Caltrain instead of driving themselves to work each day. <br /> <br />The following is a list of the specific duties and steps AMBER Technologies & Consulting <br />proposes to perform in order to develop and launch this pilot program. <br /> <br />Prom'am Design <br /> · Develop a thorough comaet mailing list of residents in the area <br /> · Peffm'm market analysis to determine estimated ridership <br /> · Develop and present a detailed budget to city staff <br /> · Conduct review of local taxi company(s) and make contract recommendations <br /> · Develop and draft vendor contracts with local taxi company(s) <br /> - Develop and draft other agreements and MOUs as necessary <br /> Determine service parameters including hours of service, taxi stop locations,, dispatching <br /> protocols, and other program logistics <br /> Coordinate pro.am logistics with Caltrain system schedules <br /> Develop a voucher disu-ibufion and voucher invento,D~ trac?dng system <br /> Design and develop automated tools to facilitaie dispatching and voucher distribution <br /> system <br /> <br />AMBER Technologies & Consulting - Residential Taxi Shuttle Proposal 12/14/00 <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
