<br />DAS:nt 8/7/87 (#20) AUG 10 1987 <br />DAS:n 8/10/87R (#20) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 0 579 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDINGS AT 124 LINCOLN AVENUE AS <br />PUBLIC NUISANCES AND DIRECTING REMOVAL THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> <br />that three dwelling units which are located at 124 Lincoln <br /> <br />Avenue, commonly known respectively as 124 Lincoln Avenue Nos. 1, <br /> <br />2, 3, 4 ("Units"), are a public nuisance as defined by Section <br /> <br />9.5 of the Redwood City Code because the Units have become <br /> <br />manifestly unsafe for the purposes for which they are being used; <br /> <br />the Units exist and are maintained in violation of specific <br /> <br />requirements and prohibitions applicable to such building <br /> <br />regulations of the City; the Units, because of inadequate <br /> <br />maintenance, dilapidation, decay, damage, faulty plumbing and <br /> <br />natural gas connections, and inadequate sanitation facilities, <br /> <br />have been determined to be unfit for human habitation and are <br /> <br />unsanitary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department has given notice to the <br /> <br />owners of the Units, as evidenced by Exhibit A, to appear before <br /> <br />this City Council to show cause, if any, why the Units should not <br /> <br />be declared to be public nuisances and abated in accordance with <br /> <br />the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received extensive evidence that <br /> <br />the Units have become dilapidated and have numerous Building, <br /> <br />Housing, <br /> <br />Plumbing, <br /> <br />Electrical <br /> <br />Code <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Zoning <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />violations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />10579 <br />
