At <br /> <br />the conclusion of the ten (10) day period, which may be <br /> <br />extended by mutual agreement between the parties, the <br /> <br />decision of the Arbitration Board together with any <br /> <br />amendments or modifications agreed to by the parties shall <br /> <br />be publicly disclosed and shall be binding upon the parties. <br /> <br />The City and the recognized employee organization shall take <br /> <br />whatever action is necessary to carry out and effectuate the <br /> <br />award. <br /> <br />"The expenses of any arbitration convened pursuant to <br /> <br />this article, including the fee for the services of the <br /> <br />Chairman of the Arbitration Board, shall be borne equally by <br /> <br />the parties. All other expenses which the parties may incur <br /> <br />individually are to be borne by the party incurring such <br /> <br />expenses." <br /> <br />SECTION 5. <br /> <br />The foregoing Charter amendment, proposed by <br /> <br />petition, shall be submitted to the electors of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City at the Special Municipal Election to be held in the <br /> <br />City on November 3, 1987 in the form of a proposal to add Section <br /> <br />96 to said Charter. On the ballots and on the voting machines to <br /> <br />be used at said election, in addition to all other matters <br /> <br />required by law to be printed thereon, shall appear the <br /> <br />following: <br /> <br />"INITIATIVE MEASURE A: Shall Section 96 be added to the <br />Redwood City Charter requiring that disputes over wages, <br />hours, or terms and conditions of employment of firefighters <br />be decided by binding arbitration?" <br /> <br />7 <br />
