10/26/98 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13504 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br /> PURCHASE OF A MOBILE COMPREHENSIVE AUTOMATION <br /> SYSTEM FOR POLICE VEHICLES UNDER THE COOPERATIVE <br /> PURCHASE PROVISIONS OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL'S BID <br /> NO. RFPCR980302 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.80 of the Redwood City Code, the City <br />of Redwood City may request any local agency as defined by Section 54201 of <br />the California Government Code to purchase materials, equipment, or supplies <br />on behalf of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Campbell's Bid No. RFPCR980302 includes a <br />Cooperative Purchase Provision which offers other public agencies the <br />opportunity to purchase comprehensive mobile automation systems for police <br />vehicles from Lucent Technologies; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the aforesaid bid of the City of Campbell conforms to the <br />requirements of Redwood City Code Section 2.80; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to purchase a <br /> comprehensive mobile automation system consisting of mobile data laptops, <br /> records management and computer aided systems from Lucent Technologies <br /> pursuant to the Cooperative Purchase Provision of the City of Campbell's Bid <br /> No. RFPCR980302; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> Reso-369 1 <br /> DES:djk <br /> F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br /> 09/15/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
