As mentioned -above, a fair amount of the Shuttle Manager's time was spent on last <br />minute details related to Parking Company of America Management taking over three <br />Alliance shuttle schedules previously provided by other vendors. Weekly meetings <br />were required for this transition. Elements discussed included status of equipment that <br />was to anive on the property, driver training, revised trip and log sheets, issues related <br />to the vehicle locator systems, decals and so forth, ,At the sameJime, _a new Pacifica <br />shuttte service was being designed and discussed as PCAM was scheduled to operate <br />the new shuttle through a ClCAG contract. Revised service schedules slated for earty <br />Q2 were also discussed. <br /> <br />CARS Reports <br />In addition to items discussed above, the Shutl1e Manager also spent time familiarizing <br />himself with the California Transit Agency Fleet Rule as it was learned over the summer <br />that the rule affected the cities of Burlingame and Foster City. Time was expended on <br />the research as well as calls to California Resource Board to better understand the <br />elements to be reported on. The reports will be created by the Shuttle Manager and <br />provided to the cities for forwarding on to the state ,in Q2. <br /> <br />Foster City RFP <br />With the information learned pertaining to the Fleet Rule and due to the extended time <br />that had elapsed since their last shuttle RFP, the City of Foster City elected to place <br />their Connection Blue and Red Lines up for bid. The Shuttle Manager customized the <br />Alliance RFP document for the city's use as well as provided other administrative <br />documents. The department staff also attended".and spoke at the- Foster City RFP <br />Vendor meeting. The Shuttle Manager assisted city staff respond to vendor questions <br />and requests for additional information. It should be noted that the Alliance intentionally <br />had no other direct involvement with the city's RFP process. <br /> <br />Needless to say, it was an extremely busy first quarter. <br /> <br />13 <br />
