<br />DAS:sb 2/23/87 (#19) <br /> <br />MAR 1 6 1987 <br />RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY WITH RESPECT TO EXERCISE OF THE <br />POWER OF EMINENT DOMAIN <br />(PUBLIC LIBRARY AT MIDDLEFIELD ROAD) <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10452 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />1 0430 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. , adopted February <br />23, 1987, this Council declared its intention to adopt a <br /> <br />Resolution of Necessity with respect to the exercise of the power <br /> <br />of eminent domain, and set a hearing on March 16, 1987 by this <br /> <br />Council on the question of adoption of a Resolution of Necessity <br /> <br />wi th respect to the exercise of eminent domain to acquire the <br /> <br />real property described in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto, <br /> <br />and by this reference incorporated herein <br /> <br />(the <br /> <br />"Subject <br /> <br />Property"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at said hearing all persons present were afforded <br /> <br />an opportunity to be heard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires the Subject <br /> <br />Property for public purposes as hereinafter stated; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. A fee interest in and to the Subject Property is <br /> <br />necessary for the public purpose of acquiring, constructing, <br /> <br />operating <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />maintaining <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />library <br /> <br />facilities <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />appurtenances to serve residents and business in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City (the "Proposed Library"). <br /> <br />2. This City is authorized to acquire the Subject Property <br /> <br />by eminent domain pursuant to the provisions of Section 3 of the <br /> <br />10452 <br />
