Offer two (2) full days 6 hour professional development seminars to family <br />day care providers and private day care providers in the area of parent- <br />caregiver and child-giver relationships and sensory integration in relationship <br />to managing behavior and class room environments/structure. <br /> <br />Expected measurable outcomes/results <br />· 80% of participants self-reported that the seminar provided valuable <br />information <br />· 75% of the participants self-reported that have a plan to integrate their <br />new learning into their work <br />· 80% felt the seminars were well organized and respected their time <br />and profession <br /> <br />To support targeted child care providers through weekly, on-site <br />Consultations to address the needs of children with social and <br />emotional-difficulties <br /> <br />1. Recruit, hire and train .5 FTE mental health consultants. The following <br />Activities are on going, with consultation at 12 classrooms at 3 childcare <br />centers (Fair Oaks, Taft, Garfield, Roosevelt CDC). <br /> <br />2. Provide ongoing weekly program consultation visits of 5 to 7.5 hours to 11 <br />classroom at 2 childcare centers and 34 providers to observe in the class- <br />room and work with providers. <br /> <br />3. Ensure that every childcare centers served has a regular forum for meetings <br />with teachers and site directors to review all aspects of the program as <br />identified by directors and teachers. Meeting will include team building, <br />classroom functioning, problem solving, communicating and partnering, <br />supportive consultation, and didactic in-service training. <br /> <br />4. Provide weekly supervision, and monthly training and bi weekly case <br />conferencing to Mental Health Consultant. Meet with teachers <br />individually and in groups to review what work and what didn't.
