<br />DES:djk 9/19/86 <br /> <br />specifications for the construction of a water main <br /> <br /> <br />extension to the standards and specifications of, or such <br /> <br /> <br />other reasonable requirements established by, the City. <br /> <br />Upon approval of the plans and specifications, the applicant <br /> <br /> <br />shall furnish to the City a performance bond and payment <br /> <br /> <br />bond (or an approved equivalent), the principal amount of <br /> <br />which shall be not less than the estimated cost of <br /> <br /> <br />construction of the improvements, and in form subject to the <br /> <br />approval of the City Attorney. The applicant shall also <br /> <br />furnish insurance, naming the City of Redwood City, its <br /> <br /> <br />Council, commissions, boards, officers, employees, and <br /> <br />agents as insureds or additional insureds for such coverage <br /> <br /> <br />and in such amounts as shall be specified by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />Prior to any construction pursuant to approved plans and <br /> <br />specifications the applicant shall comply with the <br /> <br />requirements of Article VII of Chapter 29 of the Code of the <br /> <br /> <br />City of Redwood City pertaining to construction and <br /> <br />installation of improvements in public streets and <br /> <br /> <br />rights-of-way. <br /> <br />"Nothing herein contained shall preclude the <br /> <br />requirement for an improvement agreement or such other <br /> <br />agreement for the construction and installation of <br /> <br />facili ties which, upon completion of construction, may be <br /> <br /> <br />conveyed to the City or otherwise dedicated to public use <br /> <br /> <br />where the circumstances require such agreements.
