All water main extensions shall <br /> <br /> <br />conform to standards and specifications therefor established <br /> <br /> <br />by the City. Unless otherwise provided under such standards <br /> <br />and specifications, the minimum size of pipe for any water <br /> <br /> <br />main extension shall be 6 inches in diameter; provided that <br /> <br /> <br />larger sizes may be required where the use or proposed use <br /> <br /> <br />of the property to be served from such an extension requires <br /> <br /> <br />a larger size, as shall be determined by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />II Notwi thstanding that property is, or may be, served <br /> <br />from an existing water main, if the City determines that the <br /> <br /> <br />size of said main is inadequate for the use or proposed use <br /> <br />of such property, or that the connection of said property to <br /> <br />the City's water system would create an unsafe or unhealthy <br /> <br />condi tion, or would be detrimental to the ability of the <br /> <br /> <br />City to furnish water service to properties already <br /> <br />connected to the system, the City may require, as a <br /> <br />condition to connection to the City's water system, the <br /> <br /> <br />installation and construction of an alternate or <br /> <br /> <br />supplemental water main extension, or a replacement or <br /> <br />substitute for the existing water main or a portion thereof. <br /> <br /> <br />Such alternate, supplement, replacement, or substitute shall <br /> <br /> <br />conform to the standards and specifications of the City <br /> <br /> <br />necessary to provide adequate domestic water service, fire <br /> <br />suppression, and to meet such other public health and safety <br /> <br />3 <br />
