<br />DAS:djk 8/15/86 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 0 303 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 1 8 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY'S INTENTION TO <br />PURCHASE A PORTION OF BELMONT SCHOOL DISTRICT'S SURPLUS <br />SCHOOL PROPERTY SITED AT DORY LANE PURSUANT TO SECTIONS <br />39390 ET SEQ. OF THE CALIFORNIA EDUCATION CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 39390 et <br /> <br />seq. of the California Education Code ("Naylor Act"), City of <br /> <br />Redwood City ("City") wishes to purchase a portion of Belmont <br /> <br />School District's surplus school property at Dory Lane ("School <br /> <br />Site") as described in Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached <br /> <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference, at prices determined <br /> <br />by the Naylor Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is concerned that School Site may <br /> <br />otherwise be lost for playing fields and recreational uses; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council has pursuant to the Naylor Act <br /> <br />adopted Exhibit A as the "Plan" for the proposed City purchase of <br /> <br />a portion of the "School Site" as set out in Exhibit A. <br /> <br />2. That this Council has authorized the City Clerk to <br /> <br />notify the Belmont School District ("District") of City's intent <br /> <br />to purchase that portion of "School Site" as described in Exhibit <br /> <br />A, by sending Exhibit A, (duly signed by the Mayor and City <br /> <br />Manager), by certified mail to the District within sixty (60) <br /> <br />days after City received notification from the District of <br /> <br />District's offer to sell or lease School Site. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10303 <br />
