<br />DAS:sh 5/1/86 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />10199 <br /> <br />MAY <br /> <br />5 1986 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING PARTICIPATION IN THE "PROGRAM FOR <br />REHABILITATION OF STREETS UTILIZED BY TRANSIT VEHICLES <br />- PHASE II" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the County of San Mateo "Program for <br /> <br />Rehabilitation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Streets <br /> <br />Utilized <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />Transit <br /> <br />Vehicles" <br /> <br />(" Program"), Federal Aid Urban funds will be available for any <br /> <br />ci ty in San Mateo County which has rehabilitation projects for <br /> <br />roads utilized by transit vehicles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City believes the operation of <br /> <br />the Program to be in the public interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to receive allocations as specified in the <br /> <br />"Rules for Program for Rehabilitation of Streets Utilized by <br /> <br />Transit Vehicles" ("Rules") set forth in Exhibit "I", attached <br /> <br />hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, it is necessary <br /> <br />for the City to accept the provisions of the Rules and to declare <br /> <br />its desire to participate in said Program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City of Redwood City declares its desire to <br /> <br />participate in said Program and hereby accepts the provisions of <br /> <br />the Rules. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and to execute an agreement by and on behalf of the <br /> <br />Ci ty of Redwood City with the County of San Mateo, for City <br /> <br />participation in said Program. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10199 <br />
