<br />RULES FOR <br />PROGRAM FOR REHABILITATION OF <br />STREETS UTILIZED BY TRANSIT VEHICLES <br />PHASE II <br /> <br />EXHIBIT "I" <br />(Page I of 8) <br /> <br />The Program has been established to rehabilitate streets <br /> <br /> <br />which have been utilized by SamTrans buses. Funds will be <br /> <br /> <br />made available by SamTrans through the use of FAU funds for <br /> <br /> <br />transit purposes. <br /> <br />1. SYSTEM <br /> <br /> <br />The "system" shall consist of local streets which are utilized <br /> <br /> <br />by SamTrans for regularly scheduled bus routes or which must be <br /> <br /> <br />used for direct access to SamTrans operational and maintenance <br /> <br />facilities. No project shall be considered that is not on a part <br /> <br /> <br />of the system. <br /> <br />II. MEMBERSHIP <br /> <br /> <br />The county and any city in San Mateo County which has a re- <br /> <br /> <br />habilitation project on a road which is utilized by SamTrans buses <br /> <br />may join the Program. To signify its desire to join, the juris- <br /> <br />diction need only present to the San Mateo County Public Works <br /> <br />Deparment a certified copy of a resolution adopted by its govern- <br /> <br />ing body which states its acceptance of the provisions of Progra~ <br /> <br />rules and its desire to participate in the Program. (See sample <br /> <br />resolution, Exhibit "B".) Resolutions requesting membership to <br /> <br /> <br />the Program will be accepted until June 1, 1986. <br /> <br />III. MATCHING RATIO <br /> <br /> <br />The maximum contribution to a project within a city shall be <br /> <br /> <br />2/3 of the total cost of eligible items to the city for construc- <br /> <br />tion. Eligible items of work shall be limited to pavement, <br /> <br />-1- <br />
