Fiscal Impact <br />The police department plans on using the $865,033.13 approved by the City Council in Capital <br />Improvement Funds to purchase the system. The County has agreed to allow the police department to <br />pay its $250,000 buy in cost over three years interest free. The department will pay these costs <br />through a combination of state and federal grants and General Fund money without asking for <br />additional General Fund money. Starting in Fiscal Year 2003-2004, the department will pay the County <br />$83,333.33 towards the radio buy in costs and this payment schedule will continue through Fiscal Year <br />2005-2006.
