Despite issuance of both a building permit and a business license, Mr. Passanini <br /> detemained that Innovations may not open its CosmoProf store at 2652 Broadway (the <br /> "Property"). For the reasons set forth below, we respectfully request that you reverse this <br /> deter'ruination. <br /> <br /> 1. ,CosmoProf is consistent with the poUeies, goals and objectives of th~ <br /> Redwood City General Plan. <br /> <br /> The Redwood City General Plan (the "Plan") sets forth policies, goals and objectives for <br /> the land use and economic elements of Redwood City. CosmoProf furthers these objectives and <br /> is in harmony with the Plan. <br /> <br /> Land Use Objective 2. This objective of the Plan is to "encourage development and <br /> growth downtown as one of the City's major commercial areas, and allow improvement of <br /> conveniently-sited satellite shopping areas." CusmoProfs presence in the proposed location <br /> furthers this objective, as more completely described above, by bringing an established, well- <br /> managed business to the downtown area.and generating economic prosperity for the sun'otlllding <br /> businesses. <br /> <br /> <br />
