DES:' k 05/19/98 (074/32) <br /> DES:~k 05/27/98R <br /> <br />cannot be appropriately financed pursuant to Chapter 26 of Part 3 <br />of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code, and that this <br />resolution is therefore adopted and proceedings are being taken <br />pursuant to Article 3 of Ordinance No. 1895 of the City of <br />Redwood City to provide for an alternative method of the levy of <br />benefit assessments for said purpose. <br /> <br /> 2. This Council hereby determines that it is the intent of <br />this Council to order that the costs and expenses of maintaining <br />and operating said public improvements within the District, <br />including the cost of necessary repairs, replacements, water, <br />fuel, power, gas, electric current, care, supervision and any and <br />all items necessary for the proper maintenance and operation <br />thereof shall annually be assessed either partly or wholely upon <br />the lots and parcels of property within the District benefited <br />thereby in accordance with the formula hereinafter referenced. <br /> <br /> 3. A statement of the formula upon and by which annual <br />assessment levies for the payment of said costs and expenses will <br />be apportioned according to benefits among the several lots or <br />parcels of property within said Maintenance District is set forth <br />in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> 4. This Council hereby finds and declares that the City <br />Engineer has caused to be prepared and filed with the City Clerk <br />a report, in writing, which provides the basis for the levy of <br />benefit assessments for said cost of maintenance and operation on <br />all lots or parcels of property with the District.
