5/11/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13338 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR PREPARATION OF A NEGATIVE <br /> DECLARATION/INITIAL STUDY AND RELATED SERVICES FOR <br /> PROPOSED FRANKLIN STREET AREA PROJECT <br /> <br /> (EDAW, INC.) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Shea Homes, a Limited Partnership ("$hea"), Irvine <br />Apartment Communities, Inc. ("lAC") and W.L. Butler Construction ("Butler") <br />collectively, (the "Developer") are proposing to redevelop the former <br />RMC/Lonestar site and other surrounding properties located within an <br />approximately 17-acre area bounded by ,Jefferson Avenue to the north, the <br />Caltrain tracks to the east, Maple Street to the south, and El Camino Real to the <br />west in the City of Redwood City (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, preparation of environmental <br />studies and a negative declaration is required pursuant to the California <br />Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"; Pub. Res. Code §21000 et seq.), the State <br />Guidelines implementive thereof ("State CEQA Guidelines"; 14 CCR §1§000, et <br />seq.) and the City's regulations implementive thereof ("City's CEQA <br />Regulations"; Resolution No. 6882, as amended); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to City's CEQA Regulations, City has determined <br />that said environmental studies and documentation shall be prepared pursuant <br /> <br />Reso-403 <br />G:~shared\redwood~counci~ <br />DES:djk <br />04/21/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
