5. Dates and Time: The parade and festival shall be conducted on Saturday, July 4, 1998. The parade and staging area shall be reserved from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; the parade route shall be reserved from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The fireworks display will start at or near dusk and will be conducted over the South Shores area. The Permittee shall obtain written consent from the South Shores property owners. The arts and crafts fair shall be conducted on July 3 and 4, 1998, in the same area as the festival, from noon to 6:00 p.m. on July 3rd, and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 4th. The fair will include displays and live music. Tarps or other material shall be employed to protect sidewalk areas within booths selling food cooked on-site. 6. Insurance: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its council, boards, commissions, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insured, or additional insured, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omissions to act, of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in a form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the event. 7. Damage to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs of any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, caused by or arising out of the conducting of the activities permitted hereunder, or the acts, omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public property, including the public right of way in connection with the activity, shall be removed immediately following said event. 8. Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and applicable rules, regulations, and laws in connection with the conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to all other permits that are or may be required for conducting this event or any associated activity. Specifically, the Permittee or any other individual event participants shall be responsible for obtaining necessary State ABC permits and County Health permits. Permittee shall obtain all necessary State, County, and City permits pertaining to the fireworks display. Any sale of alcoholic beverages shall cease no later than 5:00 p.m. 13325 2
