6.1 D <br /> Page 3 <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Kainos Home and Training Center <br /> Vocational Services Center Improvements <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of , <br /> 2007, by and befinreen the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter ciiy and municipal <br /> corporation of the State of California ("City") and Kainos Home and Training Center, a <br /> California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor desires to renovate/improve its facility (the "Project), located <br /> at 2555 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California, which provides services to individuals <br /> with disabilities who are residents of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to complete the <br /> Project that will benefit residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2006, and <br /> ending June 30, 2007; and <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and the Project and desires to allocate to <br /> Contractor the sum of Forty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($40,000) from its Community <br /> Development Block Grant funds for the Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Forty <br /> Thousand and no/100 ($40,OQ0} for exclusive use by Contrac#or during the fiscal year <br /> commencing July 1, 2006, and ending June 30, 2007, solely for the purposes described in <br /> Paragraph 2. <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Cantractor will use the funds provided pursuant to Paragraph <br /> 1 solely for the Project purposes described in Exhibits A (Contractor Objectives) and Exhibit <br /> B (Budget) and Exhibit C (Environmental Reviews) attached hereto and by this reference <br /> incorporated herein. <br /> CDBG/DJT.cje 1 1/31/2007 <br />
