NO STRlKE <br /> The Assoc�ation, its members and re�.r�sentatives, agree that it and they will not <br /> engage in, authorize, sanction, or support any strike, slnwdown, stappa�e of work, <br /> curtailment of production, concerted refusal of overtime work, refusal to operate <br /> designated equipment (provided such equipment is safe and sound) or to perform <br /> custamary duties; and neither the Association nor any representatives thereof shalt <br /> engage in job action for the purpose of effecting changes in the directives or decisions <br /> of management of the City, not to effect a chan�e of personnel or operations of <br /> management or of emptoyees not covered by this MOU. <br /> SECTION 7. PAY <br /> 7.1 Salary increases <br /> 7.1.1 Effective with the first full pay perioci beginning on or after <br /> September 1, 2006, and September 1, 2007, salaries shatt be <br /> catculated by comparing the total campensation rates of Police <br /> Officers in Redwood City to the mean or median (whichever is <br /> greater) total compenSation of Police Officers in the fallowing listed <br /> cities: Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Mateo, South San Francisco, <br /> Union City, Mitpitas and Santa Ctara. if Police Officers in Redwood <br /> City are less than 3% below the mean or median (whichever is <br /> greater), they shall receive a 3% salary increase. <br /> 7.1.2 The cornparatiVe calculation shall include top step base salary, <br /> employee PERS payments, educational incentives, and health and <br /> welfare contributions. <br /> 7.1.3 The total compensation comparison shall be inoperative for <br /> September 1, 2005, and shall be operative for September 1, 2006, and <br /> September 1, 2007. <br /> 7.1.4 In the event one or more af the above listed comparative cities is in <br /> labor negotiations due to the expiration of their labor MOU and does <br /> not have salary data available as of September 1, 2006, or September <br /> 1, 2007, the total compensation factor for those cities shall be equal <br /> to the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers for the San <br /> Francisco/San Jose area for the preceding fiscal year. This factor <br /> shatl be no less than 4% nor greater than 79� should the C.P.I. fall <br /> below or exceed these percenta�es. <br /> 7.1.5 The City shaLl implement the resulCs of the September 1, 2006, and <br /> September 1, 2007 survey effective the first full pay period beginning <br /> on or after September 1, 2006, and September 1, 2007 respectively. <br /> 6 <br />
