4/6/98 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13303 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REAPPLYING FOR REISSUANCE OF MUNICIPAL <br /> STORMWATER NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE <br /> ELIMINATION SYSTEM ("NPDES") PERMIT AND ACCEPTING <br /> AND ADOPTING THE SAN MATEO COUNTYWIDE <br /> STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR 1998-2003 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, pursuant <br />to the 1987 Federal Clean Water Act (33 USC ~]1251 et seq.) amendments, <br />enacted regulations implementing the stormwater National Pollutant Discharge <br />Elimination System ("NPDES") mandating local governments to control and <br />reduce the amount of stormwater pollutant runoff into receiving waters; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Porter-Cologne Water Quality Act <br />(Water Code ~13,000 et seq.), the State Water Resources Control Board has <br />delegated its NPDES permitting authority to Regional Water Quality Control <br />Boards throughout the State; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in July, 1991, the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board notified all of the municipalities in San Mateo County of the <br />requirement to submit an NPDES Permit Application by November 30, 1992; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all of the municipalities in San Mateo County submitted an <br />NPDES permit application, including a Stormwater Management Plan, which met <br />the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board's requirements; <br />and <br /> <br />Reso-380 1 <br />G:\Sha red,Redwood\Council 13303 <br />DES:djk <br />03125/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
