ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13302 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL <br /> OF APPLICATION FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> ACT FUNDS FOR SIX (6) BICYCLE RACKS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires the installation of six (6) <br />bicycle racks ("Street Furniture") at Arguello Plaza in the City of Redwood City <br />(the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory <br />Committee recommends approval of the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project conforms to, and implements, the Transportation <br />Element of the General Plan and the Redwood City Bikeway Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66520, all <br />applications for federal or state grant funds for transportation projects must be <br />approved by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to apply for a Transportation <br /> <br />Development Act grant for the Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That certain application to the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission for grant funds in the total amount of Three Thousand Five Hundred <br /> and No/100 Dollars ($3,500.00) for fiscal year 1997-98 funding, entitled, <br /> <br /> Reso-379 1 13302 <br /> DES:djk <br /> G:/s bared/Redwood/Council <br /> 03/23/9§ <br /> <br /> <br />
