<br />SWC:rks <br />3WC:rks <br /> <br />5/10/84 <br />5/ll/84R <br /> <br />,,:"i"" I\L <br />\.,H i !\;U 14h <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />;j~(jI <br /> <br />M,~Y 1 4 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION <br />COMMISSION TO REALLOCATE A TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT <br />ACT ARTICLE 3 GRANT TO CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 5, 1981, this Council adopted Resolution <br /> <br />No. 8772 approving the East Bayshore bicycle path and authorizing <br /> <br />application for Transportation Development Act Article 3 funds; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, $185,000 of these funds were allocated to the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City to provide bicycle paths and lanes east of <br /> <br />Highway 101, between Marsh Road and the City of Foster City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City wishes to construct a <br /> <br />bicycle bridge across Redwood Creek, near Bair Island Road, a <br /> <br />vital element of this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bridge has been designed and advertised for <br /> <br />bids; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the grant funds expire on June 30, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, Bikeways <br /> <br />Advisory Committee, and the Regional Planning Committee of San <br /> <br />Mateo County have recommended reallocation of this grant; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Department of Public Works and City Attorney are <br /> <br />authorized to submit an application for reallocation of Fiscal <br /> <br />Year 1981-82 Transportation Development Act Article 3 funds. <br /> <br />9581 <br />
