<br />DCB:rks <br />DCB:rks <br /> <br />3/15/84 <br />3/26/84R <br /> <br />sources to remain in the City, approval of the <br /> <br />variance will assist the operation of a business <br /> <br />which has been located in the City for over 25 <br /> <br />years to continue to so contribute to the <br /> <br />betterment of the community; and <br /> <br />(h) There are practical difficulties and unnecessary <br /> <br />hardships in the way of carrying out the strict <br /> <br />letter of Chapter 29 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City in that the <br /> <br />standard driveway <br /> <br />specifications under Article II said Chapter do <br /> <br />not <br /> <br />provide <br /> <br />sufficient <br /> <br />space <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />safely <br /> <br />maneuvering vehicles of the size and configuration <br /> <br />generally associated with the applicant's business <br /> <br />activities. <br /> <br />2. The application for a conditional variance to allow a <br /> <br />107 foot wide driveway for the Kliklok Building at 1089 Kliklok <br /> <br />Way, heretofore determined to be in conformity with the purposes <br /> <br />of Article II Chapter 29 of the Redwood City Code to secure <br /> <br />public safety, and to promote substantial justice, is approved, <br /> <br />subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />(a) A fire hydrant obstructing safe use of the new <br /> <br />driveway shall be located to a position acceptable <br /> <br />to the Director of Public Works, at the expense of <br /> <br />the applicant. <br /> <br />(b) The applicant shall provide materials and bear all <br /> <br />expenses for red curb marking adjacent to the fire <br /> <br />3 <br />
