7A <br />Page 153 <br />Housing: (page 105) Insert at the end of Section 3.6 Precise Plan <br />Implementation Actions: The Draft DPP area is located within a <br />Redevelopment Project Area State Redevelopment Law requires that <br />15% of aN units constructed with in the Project Area be affordable to <br />persons of low and moderate income levels. Affordabilifir of the required <br />units must be insured by 45 near deed restrictions for ownership units and <br />55 year deed restrictions for <br />rental units The Agencv is ultimately responsible for seeing that these <br />units are constructed The Agencv currently has a "surplus" of affordable 10 <br />units in terms of its redevelopment production requirements. <br />Staff in consultation with the Housing and Human Concerns Committee <br />(HHCC) will develop an mtenm pol~cy for consideration by the Crty ~ <br />i Council/Redevelopmment Agencv Board related to affordability <br />requirements for residential development in the Downtown.
