<br />SWC:rb 2/09/84 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />FEB 13 1984 <br /> <br />9524 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RECORD RETENTION SCHEDULE AND <br />AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO DESTROY CERTAIN PUBLIC RECORDS <br />IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 34090, the head <br /> <br />of a city department with approval of the city council by resolu- <br /> <br />tion, and upon written consent of the city attorney, may destroy <br /> <br />any city record under such department head's charge, after the <br /> <br />same is no longer needed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has presented to the City Attorney <br /> <br />and to this Council for approval a proposed schedule for re- <br /> <br />tention and destruction of certain categories of public records, <br /> <br />and has requested approval to destroy certain public records in <br /> <br />accordance with said schedule; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Attorney has given written consent to such <br /> <br />requested destruction; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain schedule of record retention entitled "Records <br /> <br />Retention Worksheet" (7 pages) a copy of which is attached <br /> <br />hereto, labeled "Exhibit A", and incorporated herein by refer- <br /> <br />ence, is hereby approved, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized <br /> <br />to destroy certain public records in accordance with such <br /> <br />schedule. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9524 <br />
