EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />First 5 -San Mateo <br />Redwood City 2020 -Quality Preschool and Early Mental Health Grant <br />Outline for Evaluation Plan <br />GoalNision <br />- The Redwood City community ensures that families have access to a continuum <br />of opportunities and services, to support the early care, education and health of <br />their children <br />- Quality services are coordinated through strong linkages between home, schools <br />and community and are offered in a caring, respectful and responsive manner <br />- As a community we demonstrate that we value the early care, education and <br />health of children by ensuring that quality services are accountable, well-funded , <br />and sustained <br />Summary of Key Project Activities <br />- Preschool programs put into practice program enhancements that support the <br />early learning and development of preschool children. <br />- Early mental services are provided to all CDC classrooms, irrespective of <br />designation as Preschool for All or not <br />- Service integration occurs at a site level to ensure that family support resources <br />are available to families in the Child Development Center in a transparent fashion <br />Listing of Key Project Client metrics <br />Quality Preschool <br />- Approximately 690 3 to 5 year old preschoolers <br />- Approximately 45 - 65 teachers and instructional aides <br />- Eighteen classrooms <br />- Approximately 40 - 50 parents <br />- Approximately 20 - 35 family daycare/private child care providers <br />Early Mental Health Services <br />- Approximately 264 3 to 5 year olds with 20 receiving case consultation <br />- Approximately 24 teachers <br />- Approximately 20 families <br />Desired Results <br />High Quality Preschools <br />Agreement over $10K 10 <br />City Attorney Approved Version 111803 <br />
