Bayshore Rd., <br />Redwood City <br />Dear Ms. Young: <br />TRA E=nvironmental Sciences, fnc. is pleased to present this revised scope of work and cost <br />proposal #or a biological survey and report for a proposed auto dealership project in Redwood <br />City, California_ <br />The work will include- areconnaissance-level field survey and description of all potential <br />s®nsitive species and habitats that could be adversely impacted by the proposed auto <br />dealership. The planning department has requested that the biological survey specifically <br />address a 50-foot portion of the property along the nvrthem bank of a tidal channel to Smith <br />Slough near the intersection of Whipple Avenue and East Bayshore Road. <br />The assessment will include a search of the Califomia Natural Diversity Database, a description <br />of the habitats on site and in the area, and a description of sensitive resources (plants, animals, <br />habitats, wildlife corridors, etc.) identified on the project site and nearby. Additional <br />recommendations for biological resource Conservation and regulatory agency requirements will <br />be provided as appropriate. The results will be documented in a report and submitted to you. <br />The report will be suitable for use by the planning department in determining project compliance <br />with the Califomia Environmental Quality Act, and will address the CEQA Checklist questions <br />relative to biology. These questions are: <br />"Would the project: <br />a) Have a substantial adverse effect, either directly or through habitat modifications, on any <br />species identified as a Candidate, sensitive, or special status species in local or regional plans, <br />policies, or regulations, or by the California Department of Fish and Game or U.S. Fish and <br />Wildlife Service? <br />b) Have a substantial adverse effect on any riparian habitat or other sensitive natural community <br />identifier in local or regional plans, policies, regulations or by the Califomia Department of Fish <br />and Game ar US Fish and Wildlife Service? <br />c) Have a substantial adverse effect on federally protected wetlands as defined by Section 404 <br />of the Clean Water Act (including, but not Limited to, marsh, vernal pool, coastal, etc.) through <br />direct removal, filling, hydrological interruption, or other means? <br />d) Interfere substantially with the movement of any native resident or migratory fish or wildlirfe <br />species or with established native resident or migratory wildlife Corridors, or impede the use of <br />native wildlife nursery sites?" <br />
