She further urged Council to reject the alternative proposed in the <br />appeal. <br />M/S Aguirre /Foust to close the public hearing. The motion passed by a unanimous <br />voice vote. <br />Council asked various questions of staff related to shadowing. <br />Mr. Ryken responded to comments from staff. <br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Foust/Aguirre to adopt Resolution 14765 upholding the Planning Commission's <br />certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report, denying the appeal, and <br />making findings to deny the appeal. (603) <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />10. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - <br />A. Legislation (information only) — This sub - section involves possible discussion of <br />City position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 6 -2007 and No. 7 -2007. Council may direct staff to act <br />on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority <br />Focus available in City Clerk's Department). <br />B. City Council Member Report of Conference /Meeting Attendance <br />C. Vice Mayor Foust — thanked Council and community for participating in the <br />groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, February 24 for the Redwood Shores <br />library. She stated the excitement around the project and that there is still a need <br />and hope for additional funds.
