Park and Recreation Commission <br />Minutes of February 28, 2007 <br />Page 3 <br />-Solari Windmill <br />This item will go to the Planning Commission on March 5, Native Sons of the <br />Golden West are beginning work on the windmill, and the dedication is <br />scheduled for Memorial Day 2007. <br />ITEM 4 -UPDATES <br />-Park Standard and Development Ordinance <br />This item is moving forward and will go to Planning Commission on April 4. <br />-Pet Parade <br />Commissioner Joseph-Hover thanked staff for their assistance on this project <br />and provided an update on plans for the event. <br />-Red Morton Synthetic Turf Project <br />Superintendent Hover reported the synthetic turf product did not pass the <br />testing process and that the contractor will have five days to respond. <br />-Presentation by Dr. John Crompton <br />Commissioner Sargent reported Dr. Crompton gave an excellent presentation <br />which was focused on downtown parks. Material will be provided to staff <br />about the information in the presentation. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />-Commission Representative at CPRS Conference, March 2007 <br />Commissioner Joseph-Hover will be attending the conference for the <br />Commission. It was announced that Superintendent Chris Beth was elected <br />CPRS President-Elect. <br />-City Council Budget Priority Session, February 12 <br />Director Centeno stated there were no substantial priority changes as a result <br />of the Budget Priority Session. <br />-Commissioner Truscelli thanked staff for the new HVAC unit at the Vets Gift <br />Shop. <br />ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA <br />Tree Policy Task Force Report <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 9:15pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at <br />the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br />California. <br />
