9A Page 39 Chair Seybert stated that the design and additional open space is admirable and the facation is convenient fo transportation for housing and is an appropriate use for this site. There is a jobs/ housing imbalance in the area and in Redwood City anti ihe City needs housing. Mr. Passanisi stated that the Planning Commission voted on a recommendation of the Precise Plan to the City Councii, in which the Councif will make a final decisian on the Precise Plan. The neighborhood will be notified on the time and date of the City Council Meeting. Appealed process will go before the City Council. This will come back as a Planned Community Permit and more detaifed layou#of the building project, assuming the City Council approves the Precise Plan, and a Tentative Map for the condominiums. 6. MATTERS OF COMMISSION INTEREST ➢ Upcoming Planning Meetings Dec. 4th — Presentation made by staff to the City Council regarding the housing policies in the City, specificaiiy affordability requirements for the D�wntown Precise Plan. Nov. 30`" — Costco Community meeting at Fair Oaks Senior Center, Multi-Purpose room at 6:30pm. Dec. 11th—City Council wi11 be initiating the Precise P1an for Peninsufa Park. Dec. 12`h — Precise Plan will go back to the Planning Commission for public comment and testimony and staff hopes to have the Precise Plan finalized, including the EIR, in February 2007. Dec. 19`h—Christmas dinner at 6:30pm at Mandaloun. Area H is coming to the Planning Cammission in early January and the Precise Plan wiff be initiated and will start hofding the EIR scoping sessions. There will be a rezoning, General Plan, and EIR. Back to the General Plan around April or May of 2007. 7. ADJOURNMENT M/S: (Gee/Radcliffe)to adjourn the meeting.
