Council comments began with questions on the green zone and office use; <br />conditional use permit clarification; the setbacks and heights relative to Brewster; <br />how windows are attained with 8 -foot side by side structures or two 5 -foot <br />structures; and the Renaissance proposal. <br />Recess: 10:20 -10:30 p.m. <br />Council continued with questions such as whether traffic mitigation was evaluated <br />in the Brewster area; and how we are partnering with the schools on future needs. <br />M/S Howard /Foust to extend the meeting until 11:15 p.m. The motion passed by <br />a unanimous voice vote. <br />Comments included a desire for a plan for enforcement of signage; information <br />on the impact on historic districts; explanation of the Fuller /Allerton eight stories <br />versus a transition of five stories; concern about Main Street changing and that <br />retail on the ground floor should be considered; a request for information on what <br />retail includes and what a retail frontage might look like. <br />M/S Foust/Hartnett to continue the discussion to the meeting of March 26, 2007. <br />The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br />8. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST - <br />A. Legislation (information only) — This sub - section involves possible discussion of <br />City position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 8 -2007 and 9 -2007. Council may direct staff to act on <br />positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus <br />available in City Clerk's Department). <br />B. Council Member Hartnett — mentioned that under Oral Communications, <br />regarding the speakers on sanctuary and characterizing things the City has done <br />or done incorrectly, he wanted to state clearly his appreciation that Mayor Pierce, <br />Council Member Aguirre and the Police Chief had attended the community <br />meetings. He also clarified that he did not burn down Frank's Tannery. <br />9. ADJOURNMENT— 11:15 p.m. <br />M/S Foust/Aguirre to adjourn to the meeting of March 26, 2007.
