The sums <br />of the irregularities in both bids are insignificant (+/- $3.00) and do not affect the <br />outcome of the bid process. The low bid of $209,978.54 is 25% lower than the <br />consultant's estimate of $280,000.00 and is considered a good and responsible bid. <br />Staff recommends award to the lowest bidder for $209,977.79. This bid amount <br />reflects the corrections for the minor mathematical errors found in the bid submitted. <br /> <br />A copy of the agreement is available in the City Clerk's Office. <br /> <br />Alternative <br />Do not approve the contract for the 2007 Wayfinding Signage Program and provide <br />alternative direction to staff. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />Funds in the amount of $261,318 remain available for this project in the FY 200612007 <br />Redevelopment Capital Budget (account #'s 809-71893 and 288-71893).
