The revised projcet would' genecate 118 fewer Friday peak
hour hips and 19 fewer Satsday peak hour hips than the approved project These changes represent
reductions of 10 percent and 1 percent, respectively.
Proiect Tria Assienment
The onsite parldng for the revised project will primarily be located on Block 1: the revised project would
include between 215 and 590 pazldng spaces undemeath the mixed-use building, depending on wtrich
plan for the block is selected. In addition, 100 surFace parldng spaces would be added to Block 2. For
comparison, the onsite pazldng for the approved project was located solely on Block 2. T'hese differences
in pazldng locations will affect project riaffic circulation neaz the site?
The peak hour revised project traffic estimates were assigned to the surrounding roadway system based
on the uip distribution pattem presented on Figure 26 (p. 78) in the Draft EIR and the portion of the proj-
ect's parking demand provided on Block 1 and on Block 2. The remaining project traffic (that is, the
vehicles not accommodated in the net additional parldng spaces provided as part of the project) will park
in onstreet spaces or in other offstreet pazldng facilities. The share of project iraffic assigned to each of
the parking facilities was based on their amount of available parldng.
As an example, the traffic dishibution assignments for the 69'J-parldng space altemarive (590 spaces on
Block 1 plus ]00 new spaces on Block 2) are based on the assumption that:
• Approximately 50 percrnt of the Friday peak hour project traffic and 25 percent of the Saturday
peak hour project traffio- will use the Block 1 onsite spaces, and
• Approximately 25 percent of the Friday peak hour project traffic and 20 percrnt of the Saturday
peak hour project traffic will use the Block 2 spaces.
= The revised project will add traflic to the outlying intersections, but in smalla amounts then de approved projeM.
A4
