7.4B <br /> Page 36 <br /> 1. Ground fioor maximum coverage area. Unless otherwise provided, <br /> no more than twenty-five percent {25%) of the ground floor window area <br /> on each buiiding facade may be covered by signs. All signs located within <br /> three (3) feet of a window or giass door as well as any internally <br /> illuminated signs within ten (10) feet of a window or glass door that are <br /> visible from outdoors shall be included in determining the coverage area. <br /> 2. Second floor maximum coverage area. A nonresidential <br /> estab�ishment located on the second floor may cover up to ten percent <br /> {10%) of the second floor window area bn each building facade with <br /> window signage. <br /> 3. Signage above second floor. A nonresidential establishment <br /> located above the second floor of a building may not display window <br /> signage. <br /> G. Commerciai Mascots. ff Commerciaf Mascot is on private property — <br /> maximum ailowable sign area carried by Mascot shal! be twelve (12) <br /> square feet (3 x 4 or 2 x 6 for example); one sign per street frontage; i# <br /> the message is commercial in nature, then it must qualify as on-site. <br /> DfVIStON TWELVE: NONREStDENT1A� PROPERTY — TEMPORARY SIGNS <br /> AND BANNERS <br /> Sec. 3.125. GENERAL APPLfCATION: Temporary signs or temporary banners <br /> in nonresidential property shall be displayed only in accordance with this Division. <br /> Sec. 3.126. GENERAL REGULATtONS: Unless s#ated otherwise in this Article, <br /> every temporary sign or temporary banner on a nonresidential praperty shall comply <br /> wifih the following requirements: <br /> A. Siqn area. Unless otherwise provided, no temporary sign or temporary <br /> banner sha!! exceed thirty-two {32) square feet in area; the combined area of temporary <br /> signs, temporary banners and building sign� di�played an a buildina facade shall not <br /> exceed one and one-half {1.5) square feet sign area for each one {1) foot of lot frontage. <br /> B. Placement. Unless other�vise provided, any sign projecting two (2) inches <br /> or more from a building wall shall have a vertical cfearance of at least eight (8) feet <br /> (above grade). No sign shall be placed in a manner whereby any portion of the sign <br /> extends above a roofline or beyond the side of a building. <br /> C. Number. A ground floor business may display one (1) temporary sign per <br /> estabiishment facing a street or parking iot.
