PRIORITY STRATEGY # 1 — Expansion and Preservation of Affordable Housing- <br /> The goal of the City is to increase the affordable housing stock and provide <br /> decent, safe, and sanitary housing in adequate supply and at affordability levels <br /> for a wide range of residents from low income to poverty level. <br /> $311,826.75 HOME Lincoln Townhomes - Peninsula Habitat for Humanity: <br /> 124-136 Lincoln, Redwood City. <br /> These funds will be used to assist a non-profit housing developer build 8 units of <br /> affordable ownership housing. <br /> $62,365.35 HOME Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) <br /> Set-aside: <br /> These funds will be reserved for use by an eligible CHDO for housing acquisition, <br /> rehabilitation or new construction. The specific activity and organization are unknown at <br /> this time. These funds are set-aside by federal statute and represents 15% of the <br /> annual HOME entitlement. <br /> $175,000.00 CDBG Program Income — Home Improvement Loan Program: <br /> City of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road. <br /> These funds are used to provide funds for rehabilitation loans on single family owner <br /> occupied property. The program is offered citywide, and targeted to Census Tracts # <br /> 6101, 6102, 6104, 6107, 6108, 6109 and 6113. <br /> $50,000.00 CDBG Program Income <br /> $75,000.00 CDBG Home Improvement Program Support: City of <br /> Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road. <br /> These funds will pay program support costs for the operation of the Housing <br /> Rehabilitation Loan Programs and Tenant Assistance Programs. Eligible costs are <br /> limited to staff, supplies and support costs directly related to carrying out the loan <br /> programs. <br /> $30,000.00 CDBG Housing Accessibility Modification Program: Center for <br /> the Independence of the Disabled <br /> 875 O'Neill Avenue, Belmont <br /> These funds will be used to provide citywide accessibility improvements to residences <br /> occupied by home owners and renters who are physically challenged, are elderly and <br /> fragile, or non elderly and have other disabilities. <br /> $10,000.00 CDBG Minor Home Repair Program <br /> City of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road <br /> This is a citywide program for seniors and persons with disabilities and funds will be <br /> used to make free minor home repairs to single family owner occupied dwellings for <br /> home repair to maintain safe housing.
