Each interview is scheduled for thirty minutes. At trte conGusion of the ir�terviews, the goal is to select one of the two firms anc4 autharize the Mayor to enter irrto an agreement with the selected firm to conduct the recruitment for the next Cit�+ Manager. The schedule and badcground information on the search firms is as fallows: 5:30 PM-Ralph Anderson 8 Associates, Pr+a�ect Director Heather Renschler: Ralph Anderson has been providing executive search and management consutting service to ttie public sector and related industries since 1972. The firm is headquartered in Rodclin, Califomia and has four pfofessionals that wiA be members of the search team. The search team is currently working on three City Manager searches in Califomia. The #eam has recently completed seven other City Manager recruitmerits. The City has had positive experiences working with Ralph Anderson in tF�e past. The proposed fee for�he search is $17,750 and expenses are$6,000. Expenses include a tatal of three meefings with the City. Additional charges will apply if more meetings are requested. 6:�PM—Alllance Resvur�ce Group,Project Directors Shemill Uyeda 8 Eric Middleton Alliance Resource Consumng is another leading search fiRn utiiized by many public agencies. In 2004, PJliance acquired MAXIMUS Executive Search to become one af the larger recruiting frrms. Headquartered in Long Beach, Alliance also has a local office +n Palo Alto. Alfiance will have a #eam of th�ee worlcing on the search. They are currerrtly wortcing on four City Manager recruifiner�ts and have wo�lced an a total of thirteen in the last three years. The City has not warked with Alliance. The firm has quoted the City a fee of $17,000 for the search and $8,500 in expenses. Their expenses include as many outreach and focus graup meetings as requested by the Ciry. The consultants wil{ be asked to quickly retiew their proposa(s wifh the rounci! and albw a few minutes far questions. I have attached some sample questiflns for your use. The consultants will likely cover the majority of this information in their presentations but I wanted the council to have these nonetheless.
