Cleaning, repainting, refinishing, repair or <br /> replacement of defective parts on a signs or sign structure in a rnanner that does not <br /> alter the size, height, materials, location or illumination of the sign. This does not <br /> include any change to the design, image or copy of the sign. <br /> DEVELOPMENT Ef�lTRANCE StGN: A sign, typically freestanding, that identifies the <br /> subject development and which is iocated near a principal street entrance to a <br /> deveiapm�nt of ar�e �1} acre or more. <br /> DIRECTIONAL SIGN: A sign providing directions ta a facility, esfiablishment, <br /> development, building, activity or pface of interest that is open to the public. <br /> DIREGTOR: The City Community Development Services Director or his/her designee. <br /> DIRECTORY SIGN: A sign identifying the accupants of the premises where the sign is <br /> located. <br /> DISTRICT: An area designated on the Zoning Map that is subject to uniform use and <br /> cievelopment regulations as set fiorth in the Zoning Ordinance (the City's "Zoning <br /> Ordinance"). <br /> DRIVE-THROUGH SERVICE SIGN: A sign mounfied on the premises af an <br /> establishment which provides services to custamers or clients while they are in their <br /> vehicles and which is a part of such drive-through service. <br /> ELECTRON�C MESSAGE SIGN: r1n animated sign displaying messages that are <br /> displayed elec#ronicafly. <br /> ESTABLfSHMENT: Any {egal use of land other than long term residential which <br /> involves the use af structures subject to the Building Code and the presence of human <br /> b�i��gs or� the pre��,�ses more than thirty-twa (32) hours per week.
