The levee wall will be a combination of reinforced
concrete wall and earth fill levee.

Included in this scope of work and f'mal design shall be:

The Consultant shall prepare Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for the project improvements.

The Consultant shall perform coordination with the City of Redwood City, SBSA, and with others as
required for the project. Three coordination meetings are anticipated and provided for in this scope-of-
work.

The Consultant shall provide Geotechnical recommendations for the levee wall and earth fill levee design.

The Consultant shall prepare a preliminary levee alignment and submit to the City for approval. The
layout of the levee will be coordinated with the City and SBSA. After obtaining approval from the City,
the Consultant shall prepare Structure General Plans per the approved alignment.

Based on the Geotechnical recommendations, the Consultant shall prepare Structure General Plans and
preliminary construction cost estimate and submit to the City for approval. After obtaining approval from
the City, the Consultant shall prepare design per the approved Structure General Plan.

The electronic aerial topographical mapping that will be provided to us by the City will be considered to
be accurate and up-to-date, so acquisition of new topographic mapping will not be necessary.

The Consultant shall provide additional field survey to confin-n existing topographic features, such as
elevation along the approved levee wall alignment.

The Consultant shall prepare plats and legal descriptions for construction and maintenance easements
along the approved levee wall alignment.

The final plans will be prepared using the topo mapping and plan base sheets provided by the City.

Plans shall be prepared on AutoCAD R14 using Imperial (English) units.

It is assumed that the City will provide the survey benchmark infommtion, As-Built drawings, reports and
plans for adjoining projects under construction.

Based on our meeting with the City, it is assumed that the City will continue maintaining the earth fill
levee in front of the SBSA plant. The concrete levee wall will be a secondary defense to protect the plant
