<br />05/07/2007 <br /> <br />pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure section 1094.8 as that section may be <br />amended from time to time. This provision does not limit an appellant or applicant's <br />ability to seek judicial review by other means. <br />DIVISION TEN. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />Sec. 3.114. APPLICATION: Unless stated otherwise, the provisions of this <br />Division apply to all signs regulated by this Article. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.115. MEASUREMENT OF SIGN AREA: The area of each sign shall be <br />measured using the smallest geometric form, not to exceed six (6) straight sides, that <br />encloses the extreme limits of copy together with any colors and graphics that are an <br />integral part of the display. Framework, uprights, braces, pedestals, poles, non <br />structural trim and any other components that are not part of the sign face shall be <br />included in the measurement of the sign only when they form an integral part of the <br />message presentation or copy, as determined by the Director. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.116. AREA OF MULTI-SIDED SIGNS: Only one side of double-sided <br />sign shall count as sign area provided the sign faces are parallel. If the faces of a <br />double or multi-sided sign are angled from each other by forty-five (45) degrees or <br />more, the display area of all sides shall be added together to yield the sign area. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.117. ILLUMINATION: Unless otherwise provided, any sign which is <br />located on a nonresidential property and which is subject to the permit requirement <br />under this Article may be illuminated, provided that plans and details of the proposed <br />illumination are submitted for review and approval by the City in accordance with the <br />provisions of Division 3 of this Article. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.118 to 3.120 RESERVED. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.121. COMPLIANCE WITH OTHER CODES AND LAWS: Each sign <br />shall be constructed, installed and maintained in accordance with the provisions of this <br />Article and all applicable Federal, State and local regulations including, but not limited <br />to, compliance with the various safety codes. <br /> <br />DIVISION ELEVEN: NONRESIDENTIAL PROPERTY - PERMANENT SIGNS <br /> <br />Sec. 3.122. SCOPE: This Division regulates permanent signs on nonresidential <br />property. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.123. GENERAL REGULATIONS: Signs within the scope of this Division <br />shall comply with the following requirements: <br /> <br />A. Maximum total siqn area. The combined area of all signs on a property, <br />whether permanent or temporary, which are subject to the permit requirement, shall not <br />exceed one and one-half (1.5) square feet of sign area for each one (1) foot of lot <br />frontage.
