<br />05/07/2007 <br /> <br />DIVISION NINE: NEW AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURER LOGO SIGN <br /> <br />Sec. 3.156. SIGN TYPE, LOCATION AND STRUCTURAL RULES: One (1) <br />sign may be installed on that City-owned property located at the westbound terminus of <br />Maple Street and Highway 101. The sign must comply in all ways with any applicable <br />regulations imposed by State and Federal law including, but not limited to, any <br />necessary California Department of Transportation (CAL TRANS) permits. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.157. INTENT AS TO PUBLIC FORUM; STRICTLY LIMITED ACCESS: <br />The single sign allowed under this Division is intended to be a non-public forum on <br />which an automobile manufacturer's logo message may be displayed only by dealers in <br />new automobiles authorized licensed and recognized as such by the California New <br />Motor Vehicle Board, with a currently valid franchise agreement with a manufacturer of <br />motor vehicles and a currently valid Redwood City business license which operates a <br />new automobile sales lot in the City. All dealers meeting these criteria have equal <br />access rights to a pro rate share by manufacturer of the display space on the sign <br />without regard to the size of the individual lot or dealership. <br /> <br />Sec. 3.158. AGREEMENT TERMS INCORPORATED: At such time as the City <br />Council approves an agreement (for the design and construction of the sign regulated <br />by this Division) between the City and an association of automobile dealers whose <br />individual members qualified as stated in the preceding paragraph, and such agreement <br />is fully executed by the parties, said agreement shall be deemed to be in compliance <br />with this Article and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />DIVISION TEN: SPECIAL PUBLIC EVENTS <br /> <br />Sec. 3.159. SPECIAL PUBLIC EVENT SIGNAGE: <br /> <br />A. Private entity sponsor. When the City allows a special public event, <br />sponsored by a private entity, the City shall state only the time, place, manner and <br />quantity of signage allowed and leave decisions as to which signs may be displayed as <br />part of the event to the private party sponsor. <br /> <br />B. City sponsored. When the City sponsors or co-sponsors a program for a <br />special public event, with or without co-sponsors, public property may be used to <br />promote and identify the special event. <br /> <br />DIVISION ELEVEN: ACROSS-THE-STREET BANNERS <br /> <br />Sec. 3.160.
