<br />shall appear the following: <br /> <br />PROPOSITION D: Shall sections 49(a) and 67 of the Charter <br />of the City of Redwood City be amended to <br />increase the specified values determining whether bids for <br />public works contracts of the Port and the City of Redwood <br />City are informally solicited or formally advertised? <br /> <br />SECTION 7. <br /> <br />The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby <br /> <br />directed upon the passage and adoption of this resolution to transmit <br /> <br />a copy of the measures herein specified to the City Attorney for the <br /> <br />preparation of an impartial analysis ,'of the measures showing the <br /> <br />effect thereof on existing law and the operation of the measure. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby <br /> <br />directed upon passage and adoption of this resolution to cause the <br /> <br />same to be published once in the official newspaper of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and in each edition thereof issued during the day of <br /> <br />publication. Said publication shall be accomplished not less than <br /> <br />40 days and not more than 60 days prior to the General Municipal <br /> <br />Election to be held in the City of Redwood City on April 13, 1982, <br /> <br />at which election the Charter amendments herein proposed shall be <br /> <br />submitted to the electors of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />SECTION 9. The City Clerk is hereby further directed to cause <br /> <br />copies of the Charter amendments herein proposed to be printed in <br /> <br />convenient pamphlet form and in type of not less than ten point, and <br /> <br />to cause copies thereof to be mailed to each of the qualified electors <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City, and, until the date of the General <br /> <br />Municipal Election to be held on April 13, 1982, to advertise in <br /> <br />the official newspaper a notice that copies of said proposed Charter <br /> <br />amendments may be had upon application therefor. <br /> <br />SECTION 10. The City Clerk or the County Clerk of the County <br /> <br />of San Mateo, or other appropriate election official, is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and empowered to redesignate or change any and all of <br /> <br />the letter designations of the propositions set forth in this <br /> <br />resolution for the purpose of listing said propositions on the ballots <br /> <br />and on the voting machines to be used at the General Muncipal Election <br /> <br />-8- <br />
