Exhibit "A" April 10, 1997 <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Rigg <br />2198 Greenways Drive <br />Woodside, CA 94062 <br /> <br />Re: Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club Carnival <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Rigg, <br /> <br />The City Council on xxxxxxx, by resolution xxxxx I~as authorized me to issue this <br />letter permitting the Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club, through Butler <br />Amusements, to conduct a Carnival in downtown Redwood City, subject to and <br />in accordance with the terms and conditions herein. <br /> The permission herein granted is to the Woodside Kiwanis, (hereinafter, for <br /> convenience, called "Permit'tee"), through Butler Amusements by the City of <br /> Redwood City (hereinafter cailed the "City"). This permit is subject to the <br /> following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />1. Camival. The Carnival shall be sponsored and conducted by Permittee. <br /> The sale of alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited. <br /> <br />2. Revocatian. This permit may be revoked at any time without cause by the <br /> City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />3. Non-transferability. This permit is non-transferable. <br /> <br />4. Location. The City shall order the necessary temporary parking lot <br /> closures of the City owned municipal lot at Jefferson and Middlefieid (refer <br /> to attached map) and provide barricades, but Permittee shall be <br /> responsible for placing the barricades. The areas as shown on the <br /> attached map shall be ~eserved for the Carnival. <br /> <br /> 5. Dates and Time. The Carnival shall be held from 11:00 A.M. on July 3, <br /> 1997, and end at 9:00 P.M. on July 6, 1997. Set up time will begin at 6:00 <br /> P.M. on Wednesday, July 2, 1997. The site will be cleared by 5:00 A.M. <br /> on July 7th, 1997. Th,e Carniva! shall not pperate o.n July 4, 1996, until <br /> after 1:00 P,M or the end of the 4th of July Parade, whichever is later. <br /> <br /> <br />
