0 R I G I N A L 5/5/97 RESOLUTION NO. 13066 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATING THE "AMENDED 1997 REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA" AND DIRECTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO SELECT BOUNDARIES FROM WITHIN THE SURVEY AREA AND TO FORMULATE A PRELIMINARY PLAN AMENDMENT FOR AREA TO BE ADDED TO REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO. 2 WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1862, this Council approved the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 2 ("Plan"), which Plan was amended by Ordinance No. 1911 and was further amended by Ordinance No. 2007 and Ordinance No. 2085; and WHEREAS, Section 33450 of the Health and Safety Code grants authority to a legislative body to amend a redevelopment plan upon recommendation of the redevelopment agency, which amendment or modification may include a change in the boundaries of the project area to add land to the project area; and WHEREAS, in the exercise of this authority, this Council finds that it may be necessary and desirable to amend the Plan; and WHEREAS, the legislative body has the authority to designate an area within a city as a survey area for the purpose of studying said area to determine if a redevelopment project or projects within said area is or are feasible; and WHEREAS, in order to consider amendment of the Plan, this Council adopted Resolution 12991 which designated as the "1997 Redevelopment Survey Area" that area now comprising the territory within the existing Redevelopment Project No. 2 ("Existing Project Area"), as amended by the additional area ("Added Survey Area"), as both are depicted on that certain map marked Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12991 also requested that the Planning Commission proceed to conduct certain studies to determine the feasibility of 1 AK/DES: 4/3/97 CC Survey Area ReNo
