amending Redevelopment Project No. 2 to add territory from within the Added <br />Survey Area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after giving consideration to the <br />1997 Redevelopment Survey Area, recommended and requested, at its regular <br />meeting on March 18, 1997, that this Council amend the Survey Area boundaries <br />by expanding the territory included in the Added Survey Area to include that <br />territory designated and depicted on Exhibit "A" as the "Amended Added <br />Survey Area;" and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the Planning Commission's <br />recommendation and determined that such an expansion of the Survey Area is <br />appropriate and desirable; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to consider amendment of the Plan this Council <br />desires to designate as the "Amended 1997 Redevelopment Survey Area" that <br />area shown on Exhibit" A "; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this action will enable the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Redwood City, with the assistance of the Redevelopment Agency of the City <br />of Redwood City, to proceed with studies to determine whether an amendment <br />to add territory to Redevelopment Project No. 2 is feasible; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, consideration and study of a possible amendment to <br />Redevelopment Project No. 2 is in the best interest of the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
