Oversee the faithful performance, labor and material, payments and bid bonds for all City <br /> projects approved by the City Council; establish guidelines, conduct reference checks, and <br /> assure that legal requirements are met; exercise authority to give final apProval or reject <br /> bonds. <br /> <br />7. On behalf of the City Clerk, sign and execute ordinances, resolutions, agreements, minute <br /> orders, election documents, and City maps for recordation; review and track information to <br /> ensure legal and technical accuracy. <br /> <br />8. Finalize, transmit, and track City ordinances, agreements, resolutions and motions which <br /> appear on City Council agendas. <br /> <br />9. Perform and supervise a variety of technical recordation and distribution activities such as <br /> maintaining an index of all City Council official actions; receiving; processing, preparing, and <br /> publishing documents regarding appeals for public hearings; receiving and opening bids; and <br /> supervising the production of the Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br /> 10. Perform a variety of administrative activities such as researching, analyzing, and preparing <br /> statistical and narrative reports as directed by the City Clerk and City Council. Assist in <br /> developing and preparing the department's budget. <br /> <br /> 11. Train, supervise and evaluate office support staff and volunteers assigned to the City Clerk's <br /> office. <br /> <br /> 12. Act as department head as assigned. <br /> <br /> 13. Perform work with a record of regular attendance and punctuality. <br /> <br /> 14. Perform related duties as required. <br /> <br /> JOB RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br /> Knowledge of: <br /> <br /> Principles, codes, regulations and laws governing records management and the California <br /> Election Code.
