WHEREAS, this Council recognizes that other transportation projects <br />within the County of San Mateo under the funding authority of the San Mateo <br />County Transportation Authority are higher, more urgent, and deserve greater <br />priority than that formerly assigned to the Whipple Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, STIP funds allocated under the Whipple Agreement should <br />be reallocated to other projects within the County of San Mateo, which have <br />much higher priority status; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council does hereby relinquish the allocation heretofore made of <br />STIP funds, in the amount of $11,900,000, for the Whipple Project pursuant to <br />the Whipple Agreement. <br /> <br /> 2. This Council hereby further urges and requests the California <br />Transportation Commission and the State of California, acting by and through its <br />Business, Transportation, and Housing Agency, Department of Transportation, <br />to reallocate, and implement the reallocation, respectively, of the STIP funds <br />relinquished hereby, to and for the use of other priority transportation projects <br />within the County of San Mateo, under the jurisdiction of the San Mateo County <br />Transportation Authority. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute, and to attest thereto, respectively, such documents (in form approved <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
