':/.2A-z <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING CITY COUNCIL AUDIT COMMITTEE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is a desire to bring greater City Council involvement into the <br /> oversight of the City's finances; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such oversight would require a significant portion of the regular and <br /> special meetings of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by the establishment of a standing committee of the City Council, <br /> such policy oversight could be performed in an expeditious manner; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the establishment of a City Council Audit Committee will facilitate the <br /> decision-making process relating to the financial integrity of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THERE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 'i'HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. City Council Audit Committee. The City Council Audit Committee of the <br /> City of Redwood City (hereinafter the "Committee"), consisting of no more than <br /> three (3) members of the City Council, is hereby established. Said member(s) <br /> shall be appointed by and at the discretion of the Mayor. <br /> <br /> 2. Meetin,qs. The Committee shall meet at such times as may be necessary. <br /> All meetings shall be open to the public and governed by the provisions of the <br /> Ralph M. Brown Act, Government Code Section 54950, et seq. <br /> <br /> 3. Staff Support.
