EXHIBIT A - PAGE 1 2. PROJECT UNDERSTANDING Shen Milsom & Wilke, Inc. welcomes the opportunity to provide you with our proposal for the City of Redwood Council Chambers. We have provided a scope of work for audiovisual consulting services exclusively. We understand that the City of Redwood City is interested in upgrading its audiovisual systems in the Council Chamber Control Room, Rear Projection Room and the Lobby. The building was built in 1997 and had minor audiovisual upgrades in 2000. Audiovisual Consulting Services: Services will be comprised of conducting interviews, analyzing needs, and generating a report of findings, recommendations, and preliminary budgets for audiovisual presentation systems in the following spaces: . Council Chambers . Control Room (part of an adjacent conference room) o (Chambers video production system) o (Automated video server system) . Rear Projection Room . Lobby . Remote, on-location video production We understand that an automated video server is required. This system will provide, at a minimum, the following features: . Recording of meetings in the Chambers; . Ingest of video content from DVD disks and videotapes; . Automated playback of content to cable; . Automated recording of content (Le., meetings); . Capacity for addition of automated capture of content from satellite; . Recording and playback scheduling management; . Limited editing capability for captured content; . Titling and bulletin board character generator (possibly PowerPoint) . Storage of approximately 20 to 100 hours of content We will design the presentation system and prepare competitive bid documents. During construction, we will provide implementation support and acceptance testing.
